What is Mead?

Mead is a very old alcoholic drink make from fermented honey. It is so old that it is believed it may have been man's first alcohol. Possibly the drink of the cave man. Almost every culture has some variation of Mead and much legend and lore surrounding it. For example, The term "Honeymoon" originates from a custom that everyday of a newly married couples first week of marriage be spent drinking Mead.
